Bought this for my Thomas mad 4yr old grand-daughter and she loves it. She can play it on her own after a bit of initial help from Mum. Peace and quiet in the car as it keeps her fully occupied, longest journey to date 1 hour.Pays to carry a spare set of batteries just in case.She has several other games but this is the one she returns to every time she plays.

Our grandson of 4yrs old has always been a big fan of "Thomas the Tank Engine" . Whenever we are out in the car, "Engines working together" in
the VTech V.Smile keeps him occupied throughout the journey. The educational value is brilliant, and has helped him to improve his co-ordination skills tremendously.

My 3 year old son loves this thomas game. He has about 4 games but always comes back to this, his first game! He is able to play this one on his own and finds all the controls easy to handle. There is voice control that tells the child what to do on each section. If you miss the instructions or the question it has asked you just press the i button and it will repeat it. Overall a great fun game which is easy to understand but still challenging enough for a 3 year old.

My son loves this game - and sure, the graphics aren't fantastic but he doesnt care! What 3 year old is going to moan about graphics? The characters are all recognisable and that's all he cares about.

Both the game and the vsmile system as a whole seem very old in use. The graphics are very basic and you will think about your old atari again. But I suppose thats the point - I shouldnt be playing it (im 40). My 3 year old recognises and loves the characters and doesnt seem to mind the poor display. It keeps her happy and shes learning at the same time so cant complain. That being said I think Vtech could up the quality on the games though.
