| Customer Reviews: Good value purchase March 3, 2010 S. James (uk) My daughter only got her leapster at Christmas and this is her third game. She really loves this game and it does help her in hr drawing and recognition of letters and numbers. She loves the colouring part of the game and it teaches her to mix different colours together to make new. Definately recomend this game and think its good value for money.
Mr pencil February 13, 2010 Louise Austin (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Mr Pencil has been brilliant for my 3 year old who absolutely loves it!!!
Before christmas he still held a pencil in a fist hold and got incredilbly frustrated when trying to draw/write as didn't have full control of the pencil. Since using the leapstar game he has used the pen correctly and happily tracing the letters and numbers, basically if you hold the pen incorrectly then you obscure the screen as it is quite small. Now we can't stop him writing, he even wrote the whole of the alphabet the other evening!! Its brilliant for pencil control and now he is writing his name for everyone who is interested and adding things to my shopping list !!
Overall a excellent product.
Leapster Draw and Write January 22, 2010 Tracy A. Baines (Essex) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My daughter is 4 and we bought her the Leapster for Christmas. I have always been sceptical about this type of game for young children, however she kept asking for a DS like her sister (totally not practical or age appropriate) so this was the next best thing. I was pleasantly surprised. The draw and write game is really good. She can navigate the game with ease and the writing and drawing part is great. Especially good on long car journeys or when Mum wants some down time!
A Must buy January 11, 2010 F. De-Young (Essex, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Have bought the leapster and 2 games for our sons Christmas 09, and he particulalry loves this one. He has in no time at all learnt how to mix different colours to create new ones, he enjoys the games, colouring and drawing, adding animations to his pictures and so much more. He loves the game where the pencil copies all his drawings and makes him laugh a lot. Well worth buying.

I bought this for my 5 year old who is more at home playing Halo3 than writing and drawing but she actually loves it and has spent most of christmas colouring in the pictures, i would nt recommend it for anyone younger though
